Should the government increase or decrease military spending?

In the interest of making my answers relevant to lots of different countries, I cannot reasonably answer this question, as an informed answer could easily be different depending on the country being asked about. Separately though, I don’t know enough about military spending levels to have an informed answer for this regardless.

Increase, but spend it on the wages of soldiers and their benefits post-service. We dont need highly advanced technology if the people are suicidal and homeless.
